The Curriculum
Training sessions occur over a period of one to three days each month beginning in January and running through May. The Bergeson Series does not fund candidates or issues. We are dedicated to educating and training Republican Women to help them to position themselves politically, be it as a candidate for office, working for a legislator, seeking a political appointment or working for a company or corporation in a political capacity.
The intensive training curriculum addresses, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- The History of the Republican Party
- The Workings of Local, State and Federal Government
- The Constitution as a basis for government
- Economic Development
- Running a Successful Campaign
- Media Training
- Fundraising Training
- Personal Values and Political Philosophy
- Ethics in Public Service
Participants learn from experts in the field and have the opportunity to network with key Republican Leaders at the local, state and national levels. The hands-on experience is invaluable to those taking part, enabling them to complete the program not only informed, but able to move on to their next level of public involvement. The series is highlighted by a trip to Sacramento where class members meet with key state leaders.
