The Bergeson Scholars just returned from an eventful trip to Washington, DC where they met women from around the country who are participating in similar Republican leadership training programs in their own states. Some of the trip highlights included a tour of the Oval Office, a meeting with White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, and a special tour of Fox News Studios.
Here are some reactions from the scholars themselves:
"The chance to spend a few days in our Nations Capitol with my fellow scholars of the Marian Bergeson Series was an absolute treat! We had so many fabulous opportunities thanks to the President Mindy Fletcher. Our White House meeting with Press Secretary Dana Perino was truly the highlight of the trip! Our visit to Fox Studios was both informative and educational as well as exciting!"
- Ann Rommel
"From meeting with members of Congress to standing outside the Oval office, our Washington, D.C trip was filled with once in a lifetime experiences. The trip to Washington, D.C. was made even more special by the dedicated women I was able to experience it with."
